Steamed Red Snapper

Steamed red snapper retains the umami of fresh seafood. Delicious and simple to make, it goes well with rice.
Ingredients
2 pounds red snapper
If available:
1 tablespoon soy sauce
3 bulbs green onion
2 ounces ginger

Steps
Fill steamer with water and boil under high heat.
Prepare fish.
Clean red snapper innards.
If desired, cut fins and tail.
Descale.
Place red snapper onto a tray that fits the steamer.
Steam.
Cut ginger into 3-cm or 1-inch strips. Spread across the surface of red snapper.
Cover tray. Place into steamer and steam for thirteen minutes.
Serve.
Cut scallion into 3-cm or 1-inch strips. Spill onto red snapper after steaming is complete.
Sprinkle soy sauce and enjoy immediately.
Notes
Use fresh red snapper for best result.
Increase or decrease the weight of the whole red snapper depending on availability and size of the dining party..
