Papaya chicken feet is a soup that replenishes and moistens the body. Sweetness of ripe papaya with collagen-rich chicken feet make a wholesome prelude to any meal.

Ingredients

10 chicken feet

2 pounds papaya

3 liters water

If available:

4 ounces peanut

Steps

  1. Boil water in a pot under high heat.

  2. In the meantime, peel papaya, deseed, and cut into finger-size pieces.

  3. Wash chicken feet.

  4. When water boils, dump papaya, chicken feet, and peanut into pot.

  5. Once water boils again, reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for two and a half hours.

Notes

  1. The quality of the papayas is key for this soup. Use ripe papayas; their meat is deep orange.
