Lentil Soup

Lentil soup is simple to make, nourishing, and highly nutritious. Containing plentiful folate, iron, and vitamin B1, lentils are good for your heart.
Ingredients
2 ounces red lentil
1 ounce green lentil
1 ounce brown lentil
2 ounces garbanzo bean
2 tomatoes
1 onion
If available:
1 ounce black lentil
1 ounce black-eyed pea
2 stems carrot
1/4 bunch parsley
Steps
Heat water.
Fill a large pot with 1.5 liters of water.
Put pot on stove under high heat.
Beans.
Measure lentil and pea and bean.
Wash and add to pot.
Vegetables.
Dice tomatoes into 1-cm or 1/2-inch blocks. Add to pot.
Cut onion into small pieces, about 1/2-cm or 1/5-inch. Add to pot.
Dice carrot into 1-cm or 1/2-inch blocks. Add to pot.
Cook.
Cover pot and cook.
Turn heat down to medium-low when soup starts to boil.
Let cook for two and a half hours.
Serve.
Turn off stove.
Sprinkle parsley on top for garnish.
Eat to your heart's delight.
