Gardener's Chicken

Gardener's chicken uses garden ingredients with chicken to create a wholesome meal. This dish is sweet-tasting with minimal seasoning.

Ingredients

6 chicken thighs

1 cup white wine

If available:

3 stems carrot

3 stalks celery

1 leek

8 ounces pearl onion

8 ounces cremini mushroom

1 bulb garlic

3 tablespoons celery

1/4 bunch parsley

1 teaspoon salt

Steps

  1. Rub salt evenly over chicken thighs. Set aside.

  2. Place pot on stove under medium-high heat.

  3. Cut celery into 1-cm or 1/3-inch pieces. Add to pot.

  4. Cut carrot into 3/2-cm or 1/2-inch pieces. Add to pot and stir. Cover pot.

  5. Cut leek into 1/2-cm or 1/5-inch pieces. Add to pot and stir.

  6. Mince garlic. Add to pot and stir.

  7. Wash pearl onion and cremini mushroom. Add to pot and stir.

  8. Add white wine to pot and stir. Cover and cook until mixture bubbles.

  9. Add chicken thighs to other ingredients. Stir to immerse chicken thighs. Cover and reduce heat to medium-low.

  10. Simmer for thirty minutes.

  11. Add celery to pot and stir.

  12. Turn stove off.

  13. Garnish with parsley and serve.
