Fried Red Snapper Fillet

Red snapper is tasty with substantial texture. The moderate hotness in this recipe brings out its flavor.

Ingredients

1 pound red snapper fillet

1 fresno pepper

1 pinch salt

1 teaspoon oil

If available:

1 bulb spring onion

Steps

  1. Heat oil in pan under low heat.

  2. Mince fresno pepper. Add to pan.

  3. Add salt to pan and stir.

  4. Cut spring onion into 1/4-cm or 1/10-inch rings. Set aside.

  5. Add red snapper fillet flash side down to pan. Increase heat to medium high. Let sit until half cooked through; about five minutes.

  6. Flip red snapper fillet. Reduce heat to medium. Cook until entire fillet turns opaque; about five minutes.

  7. Plate and sprinkle spring onion on top.

  8. Serve immediately.
