Carrot Chicken Soup

Carrot chicken soup provides nourishing hydration. Juices from carrot, corn, and chicken lend it natural sweetness.

Ingredients

1 pound chicken

1 pound carrot

If available:

1 ear corn

1 onion

1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps

  1. Fill a large pot with two liters of water.

  2. Put pot on stove under high heat.

  3. Roughly cut up carrot and onion. Add to pot.

  4. Add chicken to pot.

  5. Add corn to pot.

  6. Cover pot and cook. Reduce heat to low when pot starts to boil. Let simmer for two and a half hours.

  7. Add salt and stir before serving.

Notes

  • Use chicken breast or drumsticks for best result.
