Brazilian Style Collard Green

Brazilian style collard green has the best of all worlds. A healthy way to make vegetable that complements freshness with crunchiness and garlicky fragrance.

Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds collard green

1 bulb garlic

1/3 teaspoon salt

If available:

2 teaspoons XO sauce

Steps

  1. Prepare seasoning.

    • Place pan on stove under low heat.

    • Spoon XO sauce and salt into pan.

    • Mince garlic. Add to pan and stir.

  2. Cook collard green.

    • Wash collard green.

    • Remove stems. Discard or use for another dish.

    • Stack collard green leaves together. Cut collard green leaves into 1/2-cm or 1/5-inch stripe.

    • Increase to high heat. Throw collard green into pan.

    • Transfer to serving plate as soon as collard green starts to soften. About one minute.

  3. Serve immediately.
