Beef ribs braised in tomato broth is a nutritious, delicious dish that takes very little active time. Natural flavors from the ingredients make for a wholesome, satisfying meal.

Ingredients

4 pounds beef ribs

2 1/2 pounds tomato

If available:

1 pound pearl onion

1 pound cremini mushroom

Steps

  1. Braise beef ribs.

    • Cut tomato into 1-cm or 1/3-inch slices.

    • Drop tomato into a large pot. Place pot onto stove under medium-high heat.

    • Add beef ribs to pot and stir. Immerse beef ribs into tomato broth as much as possible.

    • Reduce to low heat when pot starts to boil. Cover and braise for at least two and a half hours.

  2. An hour before serving.

    • Clean cremini mushroom. Add to pot and stir.

    • Clean pearl onion. Add to pot and stir.

    • Cover pot and braise for one more hour.

  3. Serve the broth too.
